The 6th Annual Kyle MacIntosh Memorial Buffs4Life Family Fun Run is the family event of the season! If you have registered, please read the information below for packet pickup information and day of run information.

The location of the race has moved to the beautiful CU BOULDER CAMPUS! This is a rare and unique opportunity to experience the campus, the athletic facilities and the Buff community, in the heart of it all! The Race will start & finish at Folsom Field, on the BUFF WALK, with games, past and present athletes and coaches, prizes and pancakes!!!!
Come out and spend a beautiful summer morning with the CU Buffs community! This race is perfect for all ages and all abilities. Lots of great energy makes this event fun for the entire community, while raising money for Buffs4Life!
Over the past 5 years this run has raised close to $80K for Buffs families in need to offset medical bills. Over the past 10 years the Buffs4Life Foundation has raised over $500K for families in the Buff community and we remain steadfast in our mission “no Buff be left to fight alone”. We strongly believe in our values and are grateful for such a giving community. The 6th Annual Kyle MacIntosh Memorial Fun Run benefits Amber Sutherland (’07) CU Volleyball), who is recovering from a severe auto accident. Amber was hit by a drunk driver in December and is working hard to fully recover from injuries while raising a young son.
DAY OF FUN RUN INFORMATION

Date: Sunday June 24, 2018
Time: All participants must be registered by 8:30am.
We will make a few announcements shortly after 8:30 a.m. with introductions and a special race start. We expect the race to get underway shortly before 9 a.m. The 2018 Celebrity Fun Run starter is Ryan Sutter, (‘95 – ’97) Football and the “winner” chosen by Trista Rehn on the television show The Bachelorette. Sutter and Rehn were married in a televised wedding on ABC on December 6, 2003. We look forward to welcoming this Forever Buff back to CU Boulder’s campus.
Location: Franklin Field and the Buffs “Legacy Walk”, just east of Folsom Field (2400 Colorado Ave, Boulder, CO 80302)
The start/finish line is located on the Buffs Walk between Folsom and Franklin Field. Look for the Forever Buffs Arch when you arrive!
Parking: Parking for a fee will be available in the athletic facility parking lot underneath the Champions Center. FREE PARKING is available in CU Lot 169 and the RG Zone which are both free on the weekends! The RG zone includes the garage and 436N only.
Packet Pickup: Packets will be available for pick up on Saturday afternoon between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., on the 2ndfloor of the ticket window lobby. This door is next to the Indoor Practice Field on the north end of Buff Walk. Please look for balloons.If you park in the Folsom Garage, please take the elevator to Level 2, and when the door opens, we will be there.
Packets will also be available for pick up at the starting line at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, and must be accounted for by 8:30am. There will be limited race day registration.
Race Day Fun! We will have food, drinks and entertainment thanks to our sponsors and event team including:
- PHOTOS WITH CHIP!
- Face painting
- Music & special celebrity appearances
Raffle prizes & pre-sales of the 13th anniversary Buffs4Life Golf Ball Drop! Please remember to bring cash/check for the raffle tickets and golf ball sales with all proceeds benefiting this year’s award recipient.
Rules The only rule is to have FUN! There will be a timing clock (no chip timing). This is not an official qualifying race. The course is a 5K (3.1 mile) around CU Campus (mostly flat and very scenic)
There will be 3 waves of starters (all self-selected/regulated)
- Wave 1– 5K running for time
- Wave 2– 5K running for fun
- Wave 3– 5K walkers
Recognizing that some families/teams will have a mixture or participants, these waves won’t be too strictly enforced as we know kiddos like to line up at the front.
As a reminder, we are not permitted to have dogs at the race this year. This will be strictly enforced. Please leave Fido home this year. Thank you for understanding.
Buff gear and/or costumes are encouraged!
